Favorite Project: "I really enjoyed writing and onboarding copy for a new Zendesk Guide feature. It was like a puzzle, figuring out how to best communicate changes while keeping the copy conversational."
Favorite Thing About Being an Intern: "Everybody’s so kind and helpful. Because of this, I’m never hesitant to ask for help and have been learning so much in the process."
Piece of Advice for Future Interns: "Ask about everything–there really are no stupid questions. Ultimately, that’s what you’re here for–to learn as much as possible and everybody at Zendesk is committed to helping you achieve that goal. Schedule those 1:1s, raise your hand in meetings, and type away on your teams’ Slack channels."

Favorite Project: “Creating an automation for Splunk Search to assist the Threat Monitoring and Response Team.”
Favorite Thing About Being an Intern: “My favorite part is the opportunity to shadow experts throughout their day and contribute to the real projects that will be implemented.”
Piece of Advice for Future Interns: “The hardest challenge for me was to start asking for help. What I learned is to not be scared to ask questions (or scared to look stupid) and reach out to people- everyone here wants you to succeed. Also, volunteer to take on challenges that take you out of your comfort zone. And finally, go to all the fun meetings and events, this is your chance to “grab” as much of the useful information as possible!”
Pennsylvania, United States, Rising Undergraduate Senior
Favorite Project: "My favorite project I’ve worked on has been on the Benefits Guides to provide employees with a solid understanding of the many different programs offered at Zendesk.”
Favorite Thing About Being an Intern: "The Culture at Zendesk has been my favorite part of being an intern. Everyone I have met has been incredibly helpful and welcoming!”

Favorite Thing About Being an Intern: “Having all the tools I need to succeed here at Zendesk in my role. However, so far the people have the best part. Getting to work with kind, responsible and supportive people from different backgrounds and countries has always been a dream and it feels like home.”
Piece of Advice for Future Interns: “This is something that I’ve heard from other interns on my team but also my colleagues; to ask questions because that’s why you’re here and everyone wants to see you succeed!”

Favorite Project: “Evaluating foreign currency revenue recognition!”
Favorite Thing About Being an Intern: “There is an abundance of resources that have helped me feel welcome and settled at Zendesk. The people that I have interacted with, especially on my team, have made themselves available to answer my questions and help me grow and learn from their experience.”

Dublin, Ireland, 1st-Year Masters Student
Favorite Project: “I've worked on one design (Malware scanning mobile design pattern) and one UX research project (Synthesizing results from user feedback/interviews on the redesigned support mobile app) since the start of the position. Both have given me amazing learnings. The first helped me understand that a design project is beyond just designing - it involves navigating across and within teams to take it from scope to finish. The second was exciting in terms of knowing how users were experiencing and appreciating the redesign and simply learning how to communicate this to internal stakeholders.”
Favorite Thing About Being an Intern: “The super supportive team who wants you to do well and value what you bring to the table despite being an intern.”
Piece of Advice for Future Interns: “Zendesk's highlight is its culture - super supportive and extremely talented people. So, don't be afraid to put yourself out there and pursue what interests you.”
Who he manages: Software Engineering Interns in Singapore
"Software Engineering Interns are deeply embedded into our engineering teams and work alongside our Software Engineers to see through our features end-to-end from planning, development, testing, to deployment. Our interns work on real-world use cases and will definitely relish the opportunity to see their code make a meaningful impact on our customers worldwide!"
Piece of advice: "Be curious and have an open mind. Learn as much as you can and do not hesitate to reach out if you get stuck. It's part of the learning process!"
Who he manages: Product Design Interns in Canada and Ireland
"Product design interns on the team helps us achieve more by taking on additional projects that we wouldn’t be able to. Their support can range from helping us execute and summarize a research study, to designing the end-to-end experience for a new feature, to delivering incremental improvement to our design libraries and tooling. They are a key part of the team and bring contagious levels of energy!"
Piece of advice: "Product design interns, especially ones just starting out their first internship, are often anxious about presenting their work in front of a large cross-functional audience. The reality is: if you’ve presented already inside your design program, you are prepared to do this and will realize how easy and natural the collaboration can be. Remain confident and remember that good design is done through iteration!"Who she manages: Student Developers in Denmark
"A student developer’s main responsibility is to learn, to be curious about how we build products and ask questions about everything. Fresh eyes always bring helpful perspectives that enable us to deliver better products."
Piece of advice: "It can feel overwhelming to see all the things and services that are interacting with each other in the Zendesk software architecture. Being here over 6 years it is nearly impossible to keep the full picture in mind- and that's okay! You will grow the picture with each day and learn a lot along the way. Take your time and enjoy the journey."
Who he manages: Product Management Interns in the USA
"As a PM intern at Zendesk, you will be working with your dev team to build out news features and fix bugs, speaking with customers to understand their pain points, and working with other product teams to drive consensus on how best to achieve product solutions."
Piece of advice: "Network! Try to talk to as many PMs, engineers, advocates, CSEs, etc. as you can. This internship is your opportunity to meet new people and learn from them! I think a good goal is to jump in a zoom with a minimum of 3 new people across Zendesk each week."Who she manages: Business Analyst Interns in the USA
"Business Analyst Interns help drive business decisions within Zendesk through deck creation, model analysis, and working alongside our cross functional partners."
Piece of advice: "I would recommend interns ask as many questions as they can and make connections with people throughout the company."
Who she manages: Product Design Intern in the USA
"A product design intern works closely with cross-functional partners such as product managers, engineering, content, research as well as other product designers to design and develop features that improve our customers’ experiences with our product software."
